Foreign Guests' Visiting to the YSFRI

On July 25, 2016, four foreign guests, including Mr. Noraini Anggas, director of Aquaculture Industry Development Division, Department of Fisheries, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism, Brunei, and its Project Officer Maziyatol Tusin, together with Ms. Yin Yin May, the director manager of Myanmar Moonlight Co., Ltd and other colleagues visited to the Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute. Prof. Wang Qingyin, director of the Key Laboratory of Sustainable Development of Marine Fisheries (Ministry of Agriculture) received Ms. Noraini Anggas and held talks with the delegation. The relevant department head and scientists in the YSFRI also attended the symposium.

At the meeting, Prof. Wang Qingyin firstly extended his welcome to Mr. Noraini Anggas and her delegations’ visiting, and then introduced the YSFRI of its history, fields of study, research achievements, training of post graduates, technology extension and other aspects. He also noted that Brunei and Myanmar are important countries along the maritime Silk Road in the 21st century. He noted that China had promising prospect for cooperation with Brunei and Myanmar that are to be called two of pivotal countries along the Marine Silk Road in the 21st century. The YSFRI will share experiences and achievements in fishery science and technology with them, and hope that all parties seize opportunities for further exchange and cooperation to achieve mutual benefits. Bothof them also extended their thanks for Wang Qingyin’s hospitality, and then introduced their general fishery situation respectively. “The research achievements concerning fisheries science and technology in YSFRI have great significance for both countries’ sustainable development of fisheries, and we look forward to further exchange and cooperation with YSFRI in relevant fields”, they said. And then, Dr. Xu yongjiang made a presentation entitled “The Research Advances in Fish Breeding and Farming” and made an explanation about it. Eventually, the participants also conducted in-depth exchange about issues under discussion.

After the meeting, the Director Noraini Anggas, Project Officer Maziyatol Tusin, Director Manager Yin Yin May and their parties paid a visit to the Division of Maricultural Organism Disease Control and Molecular Pathology, andexchanged ideas with relevant scientific researchers on issues of mutual interest.
