YSFRI participate in 2015China Ocean Economy Expo

The 2015 ChinaOcean Economy Expo was held in Zhanjiang, Guangdong Province during November 26t~29, 2015. The expo was hosted by the State OceanicAdministration and the Guangdong Provincial Government. This is the only national level comprehensive ocean exposition in China. The Yellow Sea Fisheries Research Institute(YSFRI) participated in the expo, and displayedseveral aquaculture new varieties that have been bred by YSFRI scientists, including theChinese shrimp"Huanghai No.3” and the crab "Huangxuan No. 1"; and we also showcased several aquaculture technologies, such as the "assessment research and demonstrationof the impactof construction projects on aquatic germplasm resources protection areas", and " aluminum removal and control technologyfor salted jellyfish" etc.The marine technology transfer center of YSFRI is a professional technology extension center,which represented YSFRI and introducedthe research achievements and scientific research platforms of YSFRI at the expo.

Recently, YSFRI has organizedand participated in the Fifth International Exhibition Fairon Ecological Agriculture in the Yellow River Delta, the 22ndChina Yangling Agriculture High-tech Fair, the 17th China International Hi-tech Exhibition Fair and many other exhibitions.At these occasions, YSFRI demonstrated its aquaculture technological achievements, expandedits overall influence in fisheries research, in the form of posters, videos, technical manuals etc.Among these items under showcase in the exhibition, five achievements of YSFRI won the excellent product awardof the seventeenth China International Hi-tech Fair. These prize-winning achievements include: the establishment and application of technologyfor flatfish genetic resources and germplasm creation, the fishery resources surveyand protection, the research and development of marine biological esterase and biological chiral compounds, the new aquaculture varieties such as “Danfa turbot”and the “Huanghai No. 2” Chinese shrimp.
